One of the greatest musical voices heard over the last century, Diana Ross, turned 75 yesterday and she keeps getting more beautiful each passing day in similitude to fine wine. She rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead vocal of the girl band “The Supremes” which is the most successful girl band in the world till date.

Going solo in 1970, Ross released hit after hit and in 1993 was labeled by the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful female musician in history, both as a solo artist and as the member of a group. She is renowned for selling over a hundred million records.

She has so many accolades to her name including being a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest civilian honor in the US, an Academy nomination, and a Golden Globes nomination. She has truly had a stellar career and it is only right to celebrate this icon.
