This story is tragic and didn’t have to end this way, but it tells us of the effects of bullying, especially when it is neglected. Seven Bridges was born with a bowel condition with needed 26 surgeries to fix and so he always had to carry around a colostomy bag.

His mother narrates that when she got home from the mall she saw her son hanging in their home, dead. According to her, she believed it was just a picture in her head but she had to face the reality. Seven’s parents said that their son had been bullied on several occasions because of his condition, he had even been trolled on the school bus with other kids calling him the N-word.

Seven attended the Kerrick Elementary school which is already under investigation for the incident. As it is, Tami, Seven’s mother, is planning to sue the district. She said her reason was the school system only offered lip service with no corresponding action. They were highly inconsistent with their policies against bullying.

A GoFundMe page has been created to assist with raising funds for his funeral.
