The contestants had to pass through auditions and the ones who scaled through were groomed before the grand finale. The audience was indeed mesmerized at the ability of the contestants to handle themselves in a comely manner throughout the pageant.

The event was organized as part of the celebrations commemorating the Autism Awareness month. Several dignitaries were present to grace the occasion among whom are Esther Muthoni Passaris, the Kenyan politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She later congratulated the winners via her Twitter account.

The crown for the Light of Autism Kenya was taken by the delectable Sarah Bosibori Bitange. Maurice Omondi Opiyo took the Mr. Autism Kenya crown and Peggy Mivaura took Miss Autism Kenya.

Part of their duties as winners of the pageant will be to conduct autism awareness in different parts of Kenya while working with other bodies on beneficial projects for society. The pageant has become a year affair and is beginning to gain ground in the country.
