No one is going to play professional basketball forever, Dwayne Wade knows this and he has started planning for retirement. The basketball star has made it known that he plans to build his post-basketball empire around his baby girl, Kaavia.
Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, are set to launch a couple of products on behalf of Kaavia. The products include hair care, clothing, and jewelry. Documents show that they have already submitted Trademark applications for “Shady Baby” and “Kaavia James” earlier in March. They started a loan out company in their daughter’s name also. Union acts as the CEO while Wade sits as the CFO of the company.
Reports have it that they will focus more on baby products since the couple dream of having their baby’s name on bibs and diaper bags. Union nicknamed her daughter “Shady baby” for her habit of throwing shades on her Instagram account. By the way, Baby Kaavia has 535,000 followers on her Instagram account.
